Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is hiring an experienced RN for the Emergency Department on a part-time basis (12 hrs/week), shift 1:00pm–1:30am. The 26-bed ED serves the community around the clock and operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, supported by techs and paramedics.

Requirements include a current RN license (or compact license) and certifications ACLS and BLS (or within 30 days), with unit-specific credentials.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or compact license) required.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (or within 30 days), plus unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
