Baylor Scott and White Health in McKinney, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time seasonal 13-week contract. Nights 3 x 12-hour shifts, orientation week. You will join a Magnet facility with strong support, and may convert to FT/PT/PRN after the assignment; completion bonus offered.

Requirements include at least 2.5 years acute care/Med Surg Tele experience; TX RN license; BLS certification; strong teamwork and patient advocacy in a busy setting.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program.
• Min of 2.5 yr. Acute Care/ Med Surg Tele hospital experience.
• Active TX RN license and BLS competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide RN care in a fast-paced Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Assist with transitions and holdover space as needed while maintaining high patient satisfaction.

Seasonal Commitment Information

COMPLETION BONUS OFFERED!!

• Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)
  • $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time
  • Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day)
• The first week is Monday- Friday orientation.
• Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

• Our McKinney nursing teams serve a very fast-paced, high-volume environment with consistently strong patient census and acuity.

The Transitional Suite

The Transitional Suite is a 4-bay holdover space for ED Inpatient Adult hold patients. Operation of this space is based on ED hold volumes. This space is opened if we have at least 6 MS/Tele holds and enough patients that meet criteria to open the area. If the Transitional Suite space is not needed, then the individual would be floated to the area of greatest need. Candidate should be flexible and adaptable and able to problem-solve independently with top tier customer service skills. Available shifts: Mon-Wed or Thurs-Sat. Patient Population: ED Holdover Inpatient Adults (MS/Tele level of care). Patient Ratios: 1:4-5. Number of Beds: 4 bays in a shared space similar to a PACU.
