The role you’ll contribute:

Responsible for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes health, well-being, and safety through nursing processes aligned with standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

The emergency department at Avista provides comprehensive emergency services, including resuscitation, surgery, and intensive care, with certifications and accreditations that ensure high-quality care.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs; evaluate responses; and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes collaboratively.
• Demonstrate competency in interventions such as IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Protect patient health, safety, rights, and advocate for their needs.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Colorado RN License or a Compact RN License from an NCLA Compact State.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• One year of experience preferred, with skills specific to the emergency department.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
