Qualifications

• Will consider at least 6 months of ED experience within a hospital setting.
• RN degree or Diploma is required.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Documents administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Responds to patient requests promptly and provides exceptional care.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and side effects, ensuring understanding.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet, exercise, and self-management.

Position: RN ER (Will accept 6 months of experience) – Hudson, FL

Schedule/Shift: Full-Time | Nights (Rotating weekends)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.

Qualifications required

• Will consider at least 6 months of ED experience within a hospital setting.
• (RN) Registered Nurse Degree or Diploma
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour, or PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

Compensation

Pay rate: $33.85/hr. - $47.02/hr. (Based on years of exp.)

Differential rate: $4.75/hr.
