Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care, performing individualized assessments and skilled procedures while implementing comprehensive patient care plans. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, GA RN licensure at hire, and AHA Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required at hire.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program required at hire.
  • GA RN licensure required at hire; BLS CPR required; ACLS and PALS within 120 days.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic and patient monitoring including acute changes and escalation when needed.
  • Administration of IV therapies and medications per patients' rights; fall and skin breakdown prevention.
  • Manage rapidly changing situations by assessing and anticipating patient needs.
  • Prioritize and coordinate multiple patient needs in a timely manner.
  • Provide patient comfort, advocacy, and contribute to a healing environment.
  • Assess patient readiness to learn and explain conditions to patients and families.

  • Diagnostic and patient monitoring (detection and recognition of acute changes and escalation or concerns/critical results).
  • Administration and monitoring therapeutic interventions and regimens (starting/maintaining intravenous therapies, administering medication per patients' rights, preventing falls and skin breakdown and following policies in relation to safety measures).
  • Effective management of rapidly changing situations (identifying, assessing and anticipating needs).
  • Organization and work rule competencies (prioritizing, coordination and meeting multiple patient needs in a timely manner).
  • Helping Role (consistently contribute to a healing environment, providing patient comfort and support for human dignity, serving as a patient advocate and building and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
  • Teaching-Coaching Function (assess and evaluates the patient's readiness and ability to learn, effectively explains a patient's condition and their interpretation of his or her illness.
