HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an RN Director of Patient Safety IPF to lead proactive safety initiatives and advance harm reduction across the facility. The role emphasizes partnership, innovation, and a culture of safety.

Required are an active Florida RN license or compact licensure, a BSN, 3+ years in quality/performance improvement or risk management in acute care, and CPPS within 1 year of start.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical Quality, Performance Improvement, and/ or Risk Management experience in an acute care Hospital setting.
• CPPS certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from a retrospective, reactive risk model to a proactive patient safety program.
• Promote a culture of safety and drive process improvements to reduce medical errors and adverse outcomes.
• Develop and oversee a comprehensive patient safety improvement program with data analysis and trending.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Patient Safety Director is responsible for facilitating the transition from a retrospective, reactive model for risk management to a prospective, proactive loss prevention, harm reducing patient safety program. Promotes a culture of safety. Directs other within the facility towards process improvements that support the elimination of medical/ health care errors and other factors that contribute to unintended adverse patient outcomes. Initiates and oversees the development of a comprehensive patient safety improvement program inclusive of the analysis and trending of data. This position demonstrates a high degree of responsibility, accountability and autonomy.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of clinical Quality, Performance Improvement, and/ or Risk Management experience in an acute care Hospital setting
• Other-Fingerprint Required
• (CPPS) Certified Professional in Patient Safety must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
