Job summary

PRIME-RMH is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health who will serve as a Registered Nurse with 24-hour administrative responsibility for Behavioral Health program functions. The role includes supervising staff, planning and evaluating patient care, and developing programmatic plans with performance improvements and regulatory compliance.

The position requires active RN licensure, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and at least two years of management experience in Behavioral Health, with

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse licensure.
• Director of psychiatric services should have a master's degree (preferred) in psychiatric or mental health nursing.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years in psychiatric nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in Behavioral Health programs.
• BCLS (AHA) certificate required on hire and maintained.
• Behavioral Violence Prevention training within six months of hire and renewed annually.
• Working knowledge of mental health laws and practice standards.
• Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health treatment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for Behavioral Health program functions.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care delivery.
• Develops programmatic plans including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Directly accountable to CNO/Administrator/CEO; communicates with staff, physicians, and administration.
