Job summary

Connections Healthcare Staffing seeks an RN Director Emergency Services/ER Director for a 150+ bed facility in Northwestern AZ. The role leads the Emergency Department strategically and operationally, guiding staffing, budgeting, and compliance to ensure high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will hold an AZ RN license (or Compact) with AZ endorsement, BSN required, and preference for a Master's degree. Certifications in BCLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/Handle with Care are expected.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement.
• BSN is required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care certifications.
• Experience leading in an Emergency Department setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Department.
• Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, scheduling, development, recruitment, and payroll.
• Monitor budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations; justify needs for systems/equipment and oversee stock.
• Foster professional growth and implement evidence-based practices in operations and clinical protocols.

RN Director Emergency Services / ER Director

Our client, a 150+ bed healthcare facility in beautiful, sunny Northwestern AZ has a need for an ER Director to join their team.

• Responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Emergency Department.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Arizona RN license or Compact RN License with Arizona endorsement
• Bachelor of Science (BSN) from an accredited nursing school Required. Master’s Degree preferred
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care certifications
• Emergency Department nursing and proven leadership experience in the Emergency Department
