Job description

Our client, a midsized healthcare facility located in Northwest Montana, about 2 hours from Kalispell and Glacier National Park, has a need for an experienced Director of Acute Care Services to join their team.

**They are offering up to $30,000 bonus and a $10,000 relocation bonus**

The Acute Care Services Clinical Director works under the direction and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer. The Acute Care Director functions as an integral member of the patient care team, responsible for the clinical direction of staff members, quality outcomes, and financial health of the reporting units. The Acute Care Director has the 24/7 responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, policies and procedures, goals of the hospitals and the department and their effect on patient care. This individual serves as the expert, role model and resource to the clinical team and care integrator for patients. The shifts will vary to meet the needs of both nightshift and dayshift staff. This Acute Care Services Clinical Director work closely with all members of the Leadership Council and oversees a house-wide, functional, multidisciplinary, and service oriented team that includes the ICU/PCU, Medical/Surgical, and Rehab Nursing Units.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Nursing or eligible license in the state of Montana required.
• Master’s degrees in Nursing, Business, or Leadership/Management preferred.
• ACLS, ONS certification, Healthcare Provider BLS within 3 months of hire.

Minimum Work Experience:

• 3-5 years or more experience as an Acute Care Clinical Leader required.
• Hospital based experience in Med/Surg and RNU.
• Demonstrated success with tabulating, collaborative work with physicians, project management and process improvement projects.
• Leadership experience as a nursing services unit director preferred.
• Experience with a team with a variety of skill levels including new graduate RN’s.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
