Job summary

IHA's Diabetes and Endocrinology Center in Hartford, CT is seeking a registered nurse to join the diabetes educator team. The role involves collaborating with endocrinologists and educators to deliver education and care in both 1:1 and small-group settings.

You will assist with insulin dose adjustments, conduct diabetes education sessions, and provide compassionate patient support across clinic visits. The position requires a BSN, CT RN licensure, BLS, and progress toward CDCES within two years.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Current CT RN license.
• BLS certification mandatory; CDCES or progress toward it within 2 years.
• 2+ years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with insulin dose adjustments and triage diabetes questions by phone.
• Teach patients to use CGMs and provide 1:1 and group diabetes education.
• Demonstrate problem solving, conflict resolution and teamwork in care delivery.
