Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Coordinator for the Arrhythmia Device Clinic to supervise clinical support staff and coordinate daily clinic operations. You will develop protocols, standards of care for CIED patients, and maintain the device database to ensure FDA compliance and efficient workflows.

You will oversee scheduling, billing, and education programs for staff and patients, while monitoring device performance and safety guidelines and supporting research

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure in the District of Columbia.
• 3-4 years of progressively more responsible job-related experience.
• IBHRE certification within 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs activities of assigned personnel and makes recommendations on hiring, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Develops and maintains standards of care for patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED).
• Updates and manages the patient device database using current software for FDA compliance and workflow.
• Coordinates day-to-day patient flow in the Arrhythmia Center Device Clinic and adjusts schedules to meet patient needs.
• Oversees patient billing, scheduling and report generation for pacemaker/defibrillator clinics.
• Plans and conducts staff and patient education programs on CIED function and monitoring.
• Monitors device performance and safety guidelines and responds to safety alerts.
• Collaborates with research coordinators on proposals and screens patients for trials.
