Job summary

MedStar Health MHVI seeks an experienced leader to coordinate the Arrhythmia Device Clinic operations in the District of Columbia. The role supervises clinical staff, manages the patient flow, and partners with physicians to ensure high-quality care for patients with cardiac implantable devices.

The position requires an RN license in DC or a compact jurisdiction, 3–4 years of related experience, and preferred IBHRE certification.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required in District of Columbia or compact state
• IBHRE certification within 2 years preferred
• 3-4 years of progressively responsible job-related experience required

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct activities of assigned personnel including hiring recommendations and disciplinary actions
• Develop and maintain standards of care for patients with CIEDs
• Maintain patient device database and ensure FDA compliance and efficient workflow
• Coordinate day-to-day patient flow in the Arrhythmia Center Device Clinic and adjust schedules to meet patient needs
• Oversee patient billing, scheduling, and report generation for the pacemaker/defibrillator clinic
• Plan and deliver educational programs for staff, patients, and family members
• Monitor device performance and respond to safety alerts promptly
• Collaborate with research coordinators on inpatient and outpatient device trials
• Monitor patient outcomes and update policy/guidelines based on data
