Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care for an assigned unit. The role reports to the Director of Patient Care Unit and Nurse Supervisor.

The RN will utilize nursing processes to provide care, document assessments, coordinate discharges, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes across age groups.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current licensure.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience as an RN in related care area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, organizes and evaluates all aspects of patient care for assigned unit/patients.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients.
• Completes ongoing patient assessment and documents per policy.
• Develops patient plan of care with goals, evaluations and interventions.
• Coordinates discharge planning with care team.
• Supports age-appropriate nursing care for all patients.
