Job summary

Mercyhealth in Wisconsin seeks an RN to provide compassionate nursing care on a 36-hour per week schedule with day shifts. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to implement plans of care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure; ADN is acceptable, BSN preferred. CPR/BLS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policy and law.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care with physician guidance.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Supports longitudinal plan of care across units.
• Escalates patient safety concerns via chain of command.
• Participates in professional nursing development and peer review.
