Job summary

Sonora Behavioral Health in Tucson, AZ is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to join our behavioral health team. We offer new pay rates and a $12,000 signing bonus for full-time hires, with day shift and 3/12-hour shifts, every other weekend.

As an RN, you will assess patient needs, develop care plans, administer medications, and document treatment. Acadia Healthcare provides a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or eligible to practice.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral or substance abuse nursing a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by regulations and policies.
• Administer medications per ordered note.
• Document counts of controlled substances.
