Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach, Florida, seeks an experienced RN for a PRN Day shift in a hospital setting. The role requires a current RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care experience.

You will assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while upholding safety and regulatory standards. Join a faith-based system focused on whole-person care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• RN license and BLS required
• Ability to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient needs

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking skills appropriate to patient’s level of care
• Collects and documents patient health data systematically and timely
• Conducts ongoing assessments and develops individualized evidence-based care plans
• Implements interventions safely and documents actions
• Promotes timely patient placement per hospital policy
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians and staff
• Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
• Participates in quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives
• Serves as a patient advocate and ensures rights are respected
• Manages medical supplies and equipment for safety and efficiency
• Follows PPE guidelines and hand hygiene policies
• Performs other duties as assigned
