Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high‑quality nursing care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families. You will review prescriptions, develop care plans, and document patient status to support optimal outcomes.

The role operates 6:00am-5:00pm with weekend/holiday/on-call involvement; compensation ranges from $32.50 to $48.50 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of experience in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis and care objectives.
• Reviews physician prescriptions and communicates the nursing care plan.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories and documenting status.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, medications and self-care.
• Maintains infection-control policies and safe patient environments.
• Charts in patient records and ensures equipment readiness.
