RN – Day shift (7am–7pm, 12 hours). At Laurel Heights Hospital, we are committed to providing the highest quality psychiatric and behavioral care. Our comprehensive pediatric programs and services bring hope and healing to children and adolescents with complex psychiatric, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Treatment programs are structured for youth ages 6–17 dealing with general psychiatric difficulties and trauma. Specialty mental health programs are offered for children with co‑occurring neuro‑developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Our nursing teams use a top‑of‑license approach with RNs, LPNs, and Unit Coordinators dedicated to patient safety and quality care. The RN works under the supervision of the ADON and Director, responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of total nursing care of assigned patients. The RN uses communication, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity. Responsibilities include supervising and delegating non‑professional personnel and ensuring optimum patient care.
