RN- CVOR (Finance)

Great New Rates! Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse- CVOR to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

NEW SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL INCENTIVE!!

This role is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room for all patient populations. It is based at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware.

This position requires active RN licensure in Delaware and may require licenses in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The work shifts will be aligned with departmental needs and include on-call and holiday requirements.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, culturally competent, and ethical care within legal standards of practice.
• Assess patient's pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative status at necessary intervals.
• Develop individualized perioperative care plans.
• Protect patients from injury caused by extraneous objects and sources such as chemicals, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal hazards.
• Perform accounting procedures to prevent retained surgical items.
• Ensure procedures are performed on the correct site, side, and level.
• Manage patient specimens according to policies.
• Communicate patient status throughout the continuum of care.
• Administer medications safely and correctly.
• Maintain wound and tissue perfusion at or above baseline levels.
• Ensure patient is at or returned to normothermia postoperatively.
• Protect against surgical site infections.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience.
• ASN required; BSN within 3 years of hire.
• Delaware RN license required.
• Pennsylvania RN license within 6 months of hire.
• New Jersey RN license within 1 year of hire.
• PA Clearances: FBI Fingerprint, Criminal Background, and Child Abuse Clearances.
• American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire.
• PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
• CNOR and CPN preferred.
