2 CUB Unit
Patient Population: Cardiac and Vascular, including CHF, immediate post-op heart bypass, and valve surgeries (Cardiac Universal Bed model: care for Telemetry, PCU, ICU, and CV patients)
Patient Ratios: 1:4 (Telemetry); 1:3 (PCU); 1:2 (ICU); 1:1 (Immediate post-op or unstable ICU patients connected to specialized devices)
Number of Beds: 20 beds
Department Specifics: Skills leveling, caring for ICU devices (Impella, IABP, CRRT, EKOS, lumbar drain); world-renowned surgeons; magnet hospital; active Unit Based Council.
