ARMStaffing is looking for an RN - CVICU in Great Falls, Montana. Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift.

Job Description

ARMStaffing is hiring experienced CVICU Registered Nurses (CVICU RNs) for high-paying travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. As a CVICU RN, you’ll care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart procedures, LVAD placement, and heart transplants. This role is ideal for critical care nurses with advanced cardiac experience and a passion for high-acuity care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those with chest tubes, Swan-Ganz catheters, and invasive lines
• Monitor hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive drips, and manage mechanical ventilation
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, perfusionists, and critical care teams to support complex recovery plans
• Respond to medical emergencies including arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, and rapid decompensation
• Accurately document patient care and changes in condition using EMR systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner)

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or state-specific)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; at least 1 year in CVICU or cardiac surgery ICU preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and advanced knowledge of cardiovascular pathophysiology
• Proficiency in caring for post-op CABG, valve replacement, heart transplant, or ECMO patients preferred
