Qualifications

Job Description

The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide exceptional care to critically ill patients. This role involves effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting, ensuring adherence to best practices and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for individuals in the CVICU.
• Monitor vital signs and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in a CVICU setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
