Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care and promotes positive patient outcomes through compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role supports professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care via the nursing process and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assess patient needs and conditions to deliver appropriate nursing care in the assigned unit.
  2. Analyze patient information, including medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized care plans.
  3. Prepare and administer medications and treatments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  4. Reconcile medical records to maintain accuracy and compliance with standards and policies.
  5. Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for effective care planning.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

  • Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
  • Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or similar organizations

Licensure/Certification:

  • Required: RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • Required: BLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider)
