Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking an EXPERIENCED Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown unit at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. This 36-hour/week day/evening shift rotates weekends and holidays, with patient care focused on pre-/post-open heart and other structural heart cases.

The role requires Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least some RN experience. Vaccination for influenza and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption may be granted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent required.
• Current RN licensure in Massachusetts required.
• BLS certification required.
• RN experience required.
• Fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt in writing after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients on the unit.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership within the team.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice on the unit.

Hours: 36hrs

Shift: Day/Evening shift, 7:00am - 7:15pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Exciting opportunity in this 20 bed cardiac step down unit. We work side by side with the cardiothoracic surgical team. This dynamic team cares for pre and post open heart surgical patients as well as other structural heart cases. We are very unique providing high quality care to our cardiac patients. The team focuses on teamwork and collaboration among all disciplines.

Responsibilities

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RN EXPERIENCE
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $42.37 - USD $77.81 /Hr.
