This role involves leading patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. You will delegate, direct, and assist team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes while respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. The position requires professional responsibility, accountability, and support for the company's nursing philosophy.
Qualifications include a diploma in nursing (required), an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred), and a current RN license in the state of practice. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required; specialty certifications are preferred.
Key skills include proficiency with computers and software, effective communication, and organizational skills. Responsibilities encompass using the nursing process, assessing learning needs, managing team resources, evaluating data to promote change, and adapting behavior to patient populations.
