Yale NewHaven Health Bridgeport Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to join the critical care team. The role includes a paid training orientation, full-time 36 hours, with potential 7pm-7am shifts after orientation. Licensure in CT and ACLS within 18 months required; BSN preferred; ADN/ Diploma acceptable with enrollment in BSN/MSN.

Excellent interpersonal skills required. The unit emphasizes teamwork, autonomous practice, and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

LICENSURE: Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. BCLS. ACLS must be obtained within 18 months of employment and is offered through our system.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year of hospital RN experience preferred.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Those with a Diploma or Associate's Degree need to show evidence that they are actively enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Good interpersonal skills. Successful completion of orientation

PHYSICAL DEMAND: Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying weights.
