Job summary

CarePlus NJ, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Center in Paramus, NJ.

This on-site, full-time role provides 24/7 nursing care to adults in behavioral health crisis, delivering holistic care, observing and communicating with the treatment team to tailor services to each individual. The ideal candidate will hold a BA/BS in Nursing, NJ RN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and experience with SMI/SUD; a valid driver’s license is required for agency employment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in nursing is required.
• Experience with individuals with SMI and SUD.
• New Jersey RN license required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by agency's insurance for primary drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals served at the CRSC.
• Perform assessment, triage, treatment, and patient care responsibilities appropriate to the ages served.
• Identify and document initial observation and assessment of patient needs for immediate nursing action.
• Provide patient and/or family education as needed.
• Collaborate with treatment team and communicate care information during shift-to-shift reports.
• Check that monitoring and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Utilize computer system as it pertains to job responsibilities and policy.
• Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.

Location: 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ
Full-time 40 hours, On-site : 4 (10 hour) days, evenings, and weekends

Job Summary:
You will provide services in the CRSC to adults 18+ experiencing a behavioral health crisis 24/7, 365 days a year, which may include, but not be limited to, delivering on-site holistic, comprehensive, direct nursing care tailored to the specific needs and developmental stages of each individual, communicates observations, and information about consumers to the treatment team.

What You Will Do:

• Provide direct nursing care to individuals served at the CRSC.
• Perform assessment, triage, treatment, and patient care responsibilities appropriate to the ages of the individuals served and with a knowledge of patient growth and development.
• Identify and document initial observation and assessment of the patient's needs for immediate nursing action.
• Provide patient and/or family education as needed.
• Collaborate with all members of the treatment team and communicate relevant care information during shift-to-shift report.
• Check that all monitoring and emergency equipment on hand is in good working order.
• Effectively utilize computer system as it pertains to job responsibilities and policy.
• Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.

What We Are Looking For:

• Must have BA/BS degree from accredited school of nursing
• Must have experience working with individuals with SMI and individuals with SUD
• Valid New Jersey licensure as RN
• Current and valid CPR/AED (BLS) certification
• Valid driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance for primary drivers
