Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. in Waukesha, Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our correctional healthcare team.

Local pay is $52.50 per hour with W2 status; travel rates and stipends are available for eligible candidates, and the total compensation reflects on-call and shift differentials. As an RN you will assess patients, administer medications, document EMR, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted WI RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of RN experience.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current certifications (BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate EMR records.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Shift Details:

• 12 hour - 7.00pm - 7.30am

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedWI license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as aRN
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
