Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for correctional health in North Carolina to perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop patient care plans. You will administer medications, monitor responses, and respond to emergencies in a secure, fast-paced setting.

The role requires an NC RN license (or compact license with NC eligibility) and CPR/BLS; ACLS is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians, supervise staff, and ensure accurate records while educating

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in North Carolina (or compact license with NC eligibility).
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Prior experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional healthcare preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures in accordance with physicians' orders and nursing standards.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, triage needs, and provide critical interventions.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and support LPNs, nursing assistants, and other staff as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records.
• Educate patients on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare practices.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols within the correctional environment.
