Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time role in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). The nurse will work two 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm) and provide high-acuity patient care in a specialized setting with a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, collaborating with the medical team, documenting patient progress, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.
• Maintains current Alabama RN license or valid multi-state RN license; BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC are required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.

• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with team members and patients.
• Acts as patient and family advocate; provides care appropriate to age group.

Position Summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to work part-time (two 12 hour shifts per week) during the day, 7am - 7pm in our Coronary Care Unit (CCU). The RN administers patient care in an area in a hospital or inpatient setting where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient's medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills.

• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit/department-specific requisite skills.
