Description:

Position Title: RN Coordinator-Ventricular Assist Device

Department/Unit: VAD Program

Shift/Hours: Days/ 30 hours/week, 3 X 10-hour shifts, 7am - 5:30pm, with overnight and weekend on call

Expected Salary Range: Minimum $37.80 - $47.89; salary determined based on years of nursing experience.

Become a key member of our Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) team at Cincinnati Children's as an Acute Care Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Role Overview:

  • VAD Management: Coordinate and manage the care of pediatric patients requiring ventricular assist devices.
  • Patient Monitoring: Oversee the continuous monitoring and assessment of patients with VADs to ensure optimal function and stability.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Patient and Family Education: Provide detailed education about VADs, device management, care protocols, and lifestyle adjustments.
  • Clinical Expertise: Utilize advanced clinical skills to perform assessments, manage complications, and provide acute care interventions.
  • Innovative Care: Participate in developing and implementing advanced treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes.
