Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to lead staffing and patient placement, ensuring efficient, safe care in a high‑volume Emergency Department.

You will align resources, supervise care teams, and collaborate with physicians to minimize delays and improve outcomes. Requires RN licensure and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date
• ENPC/ENCP or equivalent neonatal/pediatric course within 1 year
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days
• PALS within 90 days
• TNCC/Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year
• RN licensure in good standing
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience may substitute

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources,you’llhelp teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.

Your role will include:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
