Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care using the nursing process. You will work with a team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring sound clinical decisions and a comprehensive delivery of care to each patient.

The role requires true collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, competency with technology and medications, and accurate documentation as part of ongoing patient care and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing.
• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license.
• BLS-CPR Certified.
• Ability to read, write and speak intelligible English; analyze problems and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process from admit to discharge.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care.
• Educates patients and families and documents appropriately.
• Performs initial assessments and reassessments and documents.
• Interprets and implements physician orders.
