Job summary

Greater New Bedford Community Health Center seeks a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. This role provides age-appropriate nursing care, conducts visits, and collaborates with providers to develop patient-centered plans.

Expect four 10-hour shifts, EMR documentation, and active patient advocacy within a community health setting. The ideal candidate has MA RN licensure, strong assessment skills, CPR certification, and flexibility to respond to facility needs.

Qualifications

• RN with current Massachusetts license.
• Associates or equivalent in Nursing required.
• Bachelor in Nursing preferred.
• CPR certification (AED) required; ACLS or PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient visits based on department needs.
• Obtain nursing history from patient, family, and records.
• Interviews to identify needs, goals, and plan of care.
• Develop nursing assessments from data collection.
• Respond to codes and provide emergency care.
• Assist provider in setting measurable goals and care plan.
• Advise on referrals and follow-ups; manage vaccination stock.
• Document encounters in the electronic health record.
