Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process across the continuum of care. You will engage patients and families, participate in governance and quality initiatives, and ensure safety and accurate documentation within electronic health records.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adherence to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact or single-state privileges.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Demonstrates strong communication, teamwork and delegation.
