UF Health in Jacksonville seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process and standards of practice. The RN will perform staff nurse duties, serve as charge nurse when needed, and stay accountable for assigned patients across all ages.

Applicants should have an Associate's Degree with BSN within three years or equivalency, Florida RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS and PALS are required for several units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s Degree required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BSN must be obtained from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer for applicable new hires
• Employees hired/transferred between August 1, 2013, and June 13, 2017, follow the requirements outlined in their offer letter/job description
• Employees hired/transferred prior to August 1, 2013, are grandfathered
• BSN preferred

• Fellowship RNs: ACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months when required by the department
• Psych Unit: CPI training within 90 days and annually thereafter
• Professional certification preferred

Experience

• Less than one year of related experience required
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred
