Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Support Coordinator to mentor new graduate nurses and help transitioning staff develop clinical skills for safe, quality care. You will round on units, guide learning in real time, and support in critical moments to strengthen confidence and practice.

The role includes hands-on coaching during rapid responses and codes, teaching essential nursing skills, and partnering with leaders to foster accountability and teamwork across units.

Qualifications

RN licensure and active nursing license required.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in ED and/or ICU.

Responsibilities

Rounding on nursing units to observe care and reinforce safe practice.
Guide new and transitioning nurses through skill development and clinical judgment.
Provide hands-on support during rapid responses and codes with feedback.
Teach and troubleshoot essential nursing skills and identify learning needs.
Reinforce safety standards and communication best practices (AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care).
Partner with unit leaders to support nurse growth and teamwork.
