George Washington University Hospital, a 395-bed tertiary care academic medical center in downtown Washington, DC, is part of Universal Health Services. We seek a skilled nurse leader to oversee clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, and resource utilization across shifts.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, real-time staff feedback, and department process improvements, with opportunities for professional growth within UHS.

Formación

• BSN required; 1 year charge nurse experience preferred.
• 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• Unit-specific certifications (PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.) preferred.
• Membership in a professional practice organization relevant to area of practice preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides shift to shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations. Maintains the environment of care.
• Provides care to patients in a competent, capable, caring and efficient manner. Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Role models organizational values.
• Provides real-time feedback to staff to improve performance.
• Leads/Participates in department process improvement to improve projects outcomes.
