Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Clinical Supervisor role for the Weekend shifts at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. The position is full-time (36 hours/week) with night shifts, overseeing patient care and unit staffing.

The role requires 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience and an active MO RN license or compact licensure, plus BLS certification. BSN is preferred and additional certifications are welcome. Mercy emphasizes collaborative leadership and change management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN license in MO or compact licensure.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care.
• Leads staffing to ensure units are appropriately staffed for patient care.
• Collaborates with physicians and administrative staff to improve processes across the continuum.
• Involved in patient flow and bed management in collaboration with Staffing Office.
• Provides mentorship and guides others in change management and professional responsibilities.

Position Details:

Schedule:Full-Time | 36 hours/week

Qualifications

Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred
• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs. regularly
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
