Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an RN for the Clinical Research Center night shift. This 36-hour/week position includes 3–12 hour shifts, with inpatients and outpatients on unit after 7pm.

Responsibilities include nursing assessment, IV placement, EKGs, and administration of investigational medicines in a high-volume research setting. ACLS and BLS certification are required; biotherapy infusion and specialized research training are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
• 1 year of experience or more preferred.
• RN licensure required (Registered Nurse).
• ACLS and BLS certification are required or will be provided with training.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and interventions.
• Maintains safe, effective nursing care with attention to vital signs, assessments, and lab draws.
• Performs duties with a focus on research participants and clinical patients in the center.
