Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Clinical Quality Analyst to advance organizational quality performance. You will integrate clinical expertise with data analytics and performance improvement methodologies to identify opportunities, reduce variation, and support strategic quality goals.

The role partners with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to interpret data, develop dashboards, and drive quality initiatives across the organization. Travel within the Avera footprint is required.

Qualifications

• RN license active in the state of practice Upon Hire
• 3 years clinical nursing experience
• 3 years healthcare quality, analytics, or performance improvement experience
• Experience with Epic reporting tools, Power BI, Tableau or similar

Responsibilities

• Analyzes clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory, and operational data to identify trends, performance variation, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develops dashboards, scorecards, and executive reports that communicate performance against goals, benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs root cause analyses and evaluates intervention effectiveness using quality improvement methods.
• Interprets complex clinical data and translates findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Partners with leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with Data & Analytics to ensure accurate, meaningful reporting for quality initiatives.
• Produces standard and ad hoc reports using approved BI tools.
• Supports system-wide initiatives to achieve strategic quality goals.
