Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Practice Specialist Registered Nurse for a full-time daytime role in the Winfield area. The position emphasizes education, quality improvement, safety, and leadership across pediatrics, PICU and outpatient settings within NM.

You will develop staff programs, monitor dashboards, mentor staff, and collaborate with physicians and leaders to advance clinical practice and patient care quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or progress toward within 4 years.
• Illinois RN license required.
• Certification in related clinical area or eligibility.
• 3–5 years of experience in the clinical area.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements staff education opportunities.
• Monitors quality metrics and creates action plans with leadership.
• Leads inter-professional teams for unit and system improvements.
• Plans safety learning activities and updates unit policies.
• Participates in unit leadership meetings and committees.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Master's in Science in Nursing or to obtain within 4 years of assuming role

Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois

BLS through American Heart Association

Certified in related clinical area or to obtain when eligible
