Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL seeks a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit. This full-time night shift role supervises a team on 7p-7a and leads daily nursing operations to ensure patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Illinois RN license, a BSN preferred, and must have BLS and ACLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory experience is required, with CCRN preferred for ICU paths.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Illinois.
• BSN preferred for supervisory role.
• BLS and ACLS required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for an assigned acute care unit.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and staff development.
• In the absence of department leadership, assume responsibility for unit operations and provide direct patient care as needed.
• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care and patient safety while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resources.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope.
