Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor (RN) for the Intermediate Care / Stepdown unit. The role is full-time nights (7p-7a) with 3 shifts per week, leading daily nursing operations and ensuring safe, quality patient care.

Requirements include valid RN license, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience (1 year supervisory preferred).

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license is required.
• BSN degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• BLS certification must be current upon hire.
• ACLS certification must be current upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; 1 year in supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff.
• Ensure quality patient care, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Drive quality improvement and operational excellence.
• Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
