Job summary

UNC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Home Health to deliver one-on-one, holistic care in patients' homes. The RN will work full-time, 40 hours per week, with Monday–Friday day shifts and occasional weekend/on-call rotations.

The role requires 2–3 years Med/Surg or Home Health experience; NC RN license; ability to travel within the region; valid auto insurance; OASIS experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Med/Surg or Home Health experience preferred
• Must be licensed as an RN in North Carolina
• Strong wound care, infusions, lines and catheter care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one, holistic nursing care in patients' homes.
• Travel to patient homes within the assigned region and manage your schedule.
• Participate in medically necessary on-call rotations (1 weekday and 1 weekend per month)

We're Looking for RNs Who

• Have 2–3 years of Med/Surg (preferred); Skilled Home Health (preferred); Will consider ICU or ED experience
• Bring strong foundational skills, such as wound care, infusions, lines and catheter care
• Are skilled at delivering personalized care based on each patient’s unique needs and environment
• Are confident working independently and managing their own schedules Have personal vehicle and current/active auto insurance
• Are able to travel to patient homes within assigned region
• Are available for medically necessary on‑call (1 weekday/week and 1 weekend/month)
• OASIS experience is preferred, but not required.

Education Requirements

Graduation from a school of professional nursing.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

Professional Experience Requirements

One (1) year of nursing experience caring for acute and chronically ill patients or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
