Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing care and coordination on the assigned shift. In collaboration with the management team, you will monitor care quality, support staff, and drive patient-centered outcomes.

You will assist with admissions/discharges, schedule staff, and help implement nursing strategies to improve engagement and throughput. RN with 1+ year of experience and BLS required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN or related clinical experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• RN designation and nursing degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork for better outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery as needed.
• Executes nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and throughput, including hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, training staff and performance actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor according to needs.
• Supports inventory control and equipment management.

Education

Registered Nurse license

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
