Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cardiology, Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Emergency Department.
• Proven ability to follow protocol specific care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the clinical management of the vascular patient across the continuum of care.
• Manage and coordinate the vascular clinic and assure thorough patient evaluation and education for vascular procedures.
• Serve as a liaison for the vascular program and drive performance and improvement initiatives.
• Act as a clinical resource and a role model for all areas caring for vascular patients.
• Act as a community liaison on behalf of the vascular program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on vascular procedures.
• Collaborate in the development and delivery of care for the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus Market.
