The Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU) is part of Cincinnati Children's renowned Heart Institute and provides specialized care to patients from newborns through adulthood with complex cardiac conditions. Our team cares for patients with heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, heart and multi-organ transplants, and post-procedural cardiac needs. This unique environment offers exposure to advanced therapies and innovative technologies, making it an exceptional place to grow as a nurse leader.

ScheduleFull-time position with a four-day work week:Two 12-hour shifts (1:00 PM - 1:30 AM)Two 8-hour shifts (5:00 PM - 1:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

As Clinical Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight for daily clinical operations while supporting a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

You will:

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff

  • Ensure quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards are met
  • Support staffing, resource allocation, and operational decision-making
  • Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Lead projects and process improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Assist with budgeting, productivity management, and resource planning
  • Promote professional development and continuous learning
Ideal Candidate

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from ACEN, CCNE, NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN required
  • Active Ohio RN license
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cardiology experience
  • Previous leadership, charge nurse, preceptor, or team lead experience
