Position Overview

The Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible for assisting the Director in providing leadership to the Emergency and Intensive Care Services Departments. This includes oversight of leadership, clinical practice, financial management, and human resources. The role involves planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices aligned with the hospital's mission. The Clinical Manager demonstrates critical thinking, technical skills, initiative, integrity, accuracy, and compassionate care. They support the development and evaluation of nursing personnel and maintain departmental operations, contributing to the hospital's mission through philosophy, education, research, and quality improvement initiatives. The role also involves acting as a peer role model and supervising all functions of the department.

Qualifications
  • B.A./B.S. degree
  • Active California R.N. license
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification (upon hire)
  • Healthcare Provider ACLS certification (upon hire)
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire
  • 1-2 years managerial experience preferred
  • 5+ years clinical experience
  • Ability to provide safe, proficient nursing care for all critical care patient populations, including neonatal, pediatric, medical, surgical, correctional, and geriatric patients.
Skills and Knowledge

Strong analytical and grammatical skills are necessary for effective verbal and written communication. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Must be capable of fulfilling all essential functions of the position.
