Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a Registered Nurse leader to deliver patient care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and department standards. You will supervise licensed and ancillary staff, ensure quality outcomes, and support department goals with professional accountability.

Required RN license in state of practice and BLS certification; a Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred. The role emphasizes teaching, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards within an Equal Opportunity

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred - Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Required - None (work experience).
• Required - Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patients and groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
